Paxonyx is being built around a simple goal: help healthcare teams spend less time on repetitive administrative work and more time supporting patient care. We are developing a flexible, spreadsheet-style platform that brings information, workflow tracking, and AI automation into one workspace, helping teams organize their work, see what needs attention, and coordinate the next steps. Our initial focus is insurance and authorization workflows for spinal cord stimulation. From there, we plan to expand across interventional pain procedures and, over time, into other medical specialties. By using AI to assist with information review and automate routine tasks that do not need to be performed manually, we aim to reduce administrative burden, improve coordination, and give healthcare teams more time for the work that benefits from their expertise and judgment.

Mario Vela, M.D., is Co-founder and CEO of Paxonyx and a Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist. He trained at UT Health San Antonio and previously served as Chief Radiologist and Director of Diagnostic Radiology at Advanced Pain Care, overseeing imaging across multiple locations. His experience spans clinical care, healthcare operations, and radiology AI training and evaluation. At Paxonyx, he brings that perspective to building tools that simplify insurance and authorization workflows, reduce repetitive administrative work, and help healthcare teams spend more time focused on patient care.
Maruthi Raghunath

Maruthi Raghunath is Co-founder and CTO of Paxonyx. He brings 25+ years of experience building enterprise software, including more than a decade in digital health. He has held senior engineering and R&D leadership roles across electronic health records, revenue cycle management, patient engagement, and clinical systems. His expertise spans cloud platforms, AI and machine learning, generative AI, interoperability, and intelligent automation. At Paxonyx, he leads technology and product development, combining deep healthcare domain knowledge with modern AI engineering to make complex workflows simpler, faster, and more reliable through responsible AI.

Josephine Vajko is COO of Paxonyx and Chief of Neuromodulation at Advanced Pain Care. She has worked in pain management since 2018 and brings expertise in neuromodulation, more than seven years of experience in company operations, and a background in healthcare marketing. At Paxonyx, she brings an operational perspective to developing AI tools for insurance and authorization workflows, beginning with spinal cord stimulation. Her focus is on simplifying repetitive work, improving coordination, and helping healthcare teams spend more time supporting patient care.
